UX Researcher

BetDEX is building the global infrastructure for the future of sports betting. By building the protocol on which a decentralised sports betting ecosystem can thrive, we aim to revolutionise the sports betting experience for everyone ranging from the average sports fan to sophisticated professionals.

The BetDEX protocol will enable a myriad of sports betting experiences by providing the underlying infrastructure on which these applications are built. The BetDEX exchange will be the first application built on this protocol, a sports betting operator initially focused on international markets.

We are looking for people who would relish being part of an early-stage startup, who would enjoy the thrill of creating exciting new products - while also contributing positively to our team dynamic. We are passionate about creating an inclusive culture and need the right people to grow BetDEX into the platform and company we envision.

The user experience provided by existing sports betting products falls well short of bringing delight to what is meant to be an entertaining activity. Similarly the web3 user experience is lagging behind the pace of technology development. That’s where you come in: we’re looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join our Product team to help us in identifying all of the elements that will contribute to creating world-class product experiences in a space where innovation is long overdue.

Some of the things you'll do:
o Lead critical research efforts and conduct in depth studies that deepen our understanding of the user experience and drive product strategy
o Work in a highly collaborative fashion with product managers, designers and engineers to define the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products by grounding these decisions in user needs and insights
o Develop the infrastructure and practices that will deliver qualitative and quantitative insights on user needs, motivations and habits
o Evangelise research insights to evolve and enhance BetDEX’s understanding of user needs and identify innovative opportunities to meet those needs
o Participate in the ongoing improvement of the web3 user experience by being a tireless advocate for users and user-centred processes
o Conduct and document ongoing user research and interviews to help us understand the end user’s behaviour in more detail

Some of the experience you'll already have:
o The ability to create and execute a UX Research strategy that gives a voice to several audiences
o Experience working in a design culture where engaging with users is a core part of the research approach in every initiative
o Competence in executing a variety of remotely performed research methods which may include qualitative interviews, surveys, ideation sessions, ethnographic field research, usability evaluation and diary studies to generate actionable insights
o Experience working both independently and collaboratively in order to deliver against priorities by finding the perfect balance between benefiting the initiative, the Product team and BetDEX

What's in it for you:
o BetDEX is an inclusive team. You won’t find any politics here, just a group of amazing people trying to build amazing things.
o Everyone at BetDEX owns a piece of the business through a generous equity stake
o We’re a fully remote team and along with your laptop there’s a £1000/$1500 budget to set up your home working space
o We can provide access to co-working spaces where needed
o Flexible work hours - we don’t focus on 9-5, you know when you work best
o 33 days holiday, with no set calendar, allowing you to celebrate and enjoy the holidays that are most important to you.
o 5% pension / 401k contribution
o $1000 of $SOL to get know Solana's ecosystem and investigate web3 further
o We'll pay 100% of your healthcare premiums for Medical, Vision & Dental

Please provide a link to your portfolio (or any online profiles like Dribbble, Behance) that demonstrates your research techniques with multiple detailed examples of how you approached each problem, and details of the final implementation, along with data to show the feature improved the product experience for the end user.

We’re looking to build a collaborative, focused team with a great culture that will deliver some amazing products - if that sounds like a place you see yourself, get in touch!
